You won’t believe how much these music artists make in 1 year

We know that our favorite artists are rolling in the dough but just how much dough are they actually rolling in? These music icons’ illustrious careers, undeniable talents, and backed endorsement deals famously increase their net worths and sometimes, it’s easy to forget that their annual income is calculated differently. We shouldn’t be fooled, though. These music artists are killing the financial game year after year.

Lady Gaga

At the end of 2016, Lady Gaga’s annual income was a reported $59 million. Mother Monster has made a name (and a large bank account) for herself as a pop star, actress, and songwriter. In 2016, Gaga released her fifth studio album, Joanne, and was featured in her second season of FX’s American Horror Story. She also performed at the Superbowl Halftime Show for the first time in her performance career. The triple threat is pulling in almost $5 million on a monthly basis – it must be good to be Gaga!

Celine Dion

Celine Dion is a worldwide sensation. Because of her Las Vegas residency (actually, she’s had 2 of them) her net worth has soared, surpassing $200 million, easily. As of 2013, Celine was being paid almost $500,000 for one show and makes an annual income of around $10 million. After taking a hiatus to tend her late husband in his state of deteriorating health, Celine returned to the Vegas stage. At the end of 2016, she celebrated her thousandth show. Celine plans on keeping busy this coming year so maybe, just maybe, that means new music!

Barbra Streisand

Barbra Streisand’s financial status is a Cinderella story of sorts. A few years ago, it looked like the singing sensation’s career was winding down and consequently, so was her annual income. In 2016, Barb her annual salary was reported to be $10 million. The Academy Award winner last album release, 2014’s Partners, was a profitable project. Living in Malibu, Barbra’s lifestyle is surprisingly modest… compared to most stars of the age, at least.

Taylor Swift

In 2016, Forbes ranked Taylor Swift as the highest paid music entertainer of the year. The country singer turned pop star made $170 million last year (that’s more than Beyonce!) and on a daily basis, she makes about $500 K. Taylor has appeared in a few movies and television shows but the bulk of income comes from album sales and live performances. She may have lost a boyfriend, or two, last year but we don’t think Swifty minds too much considering the amount of money she makes every day.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry tends to dip in and out of the spotlight but one thing is for certain, her annual income only continues to thrive upward. Katy’s primary focus is on her music career, which makes her a monthly profit of about $3.5 million. Her annual income, $41 million, is a tribute to her album sales and world tours. Her newest project, ‘Chained to the Rhythm,’ is just the tip of the iceberg for her 2017 comeback; the pop star is teasing new music on her Instagram account here and there. (CLICK HERE TO READ AND SEE MORE)
